MAHARANI

Maharani” means queen and every piece in this collection represents the maharani that exists within us all. This collection represents my vision of blending tradition and rebellion to challenge societal standards. I have always been deeply rooted in my Indian culture as much as I love designing it and this collection reimagines the elegance of traditional Indian evening wear through a bold, contemporary lens. Inspired by the timeless beauty of sarees and lehengas, I infused these classic silhouettes with daring elements like deep cuts, oversized silhouettes and sheer fabrics. For styling, I combined modern elements like sneakers and sunglasses with Indian elements like the long hair braid called the “Paranda” and jewellery to reflect the strength and individuality of today’s woman.
