The basic size of 26-36 has been setting standards for ages now. Taking inspiration from dress forms, painful needles and broken threads, I plan to create a transparent dress snatching the body of the dress form, adorning it with transparent balls filled with needles to create a heavier body on top of the dress form. Lastly, the final dress has black broken and textured threads hanging down from it. The reason I am using the transparent balls to create a heavier body on top of the dress form is to show how one wants to be that from somewhere inside as that is what even I feel from inside. Comparing the sleek and slender dress forms and mannequins to my own body, somewhat hurts me from inside, making this piece very personal and emotional to me. This piece serves a very important social idea to the world.
